VIRTUAL MEDIATIONS

Tamlyn Sbar Mediation has implemented virtual mediation. All forms of mediation, virtual and otherwise, demand confidentiality, security, and privacy.

Our office is currently using ZOOM Video Conferencing for its video platform.  It is not necessary for the attendee to have a Zoom account. Zoom has tutorials at https://support.zoom.us, however, the process is as simple as clicking a link.

With this process, I am able to offer face-to-face, securely connected video conferencing for any mediation session. We will be able to caucus during mediation, with each attorney and their respective client working in their own virtual “break-out” room, where only they can hear and see each other. I will move between the two virtual rooms. It is not necessary for the virtual mediation participants to be at their attorney’s office.  Each participant can be at an independent location or with their respective attorney. Additional professionals, such as forensic accountants, parent coordinators or guardian ad litems can also appear in the virtual rooms from separate locations.

The participants will need nothing more than a  phone, tablet, laptop or computer, equipped with a camera, microphone and speaker. I will send a link prior to the mediation by email for the participants to join the meeting. All Parties will need a high-speed internet connection and a private, secure quiet space without distractions or interruptions.

Virtual mediation participants are able to sign finalized agreements remotely through DocuSign. Participants do not need a DocuSign account.

Payment for the mediation conference, which is due at the completion of the mediation, may be paid on line via a credit card link.
